What is WPC board

The full form of WPC boards is Wood Plastic Composite board. Its composition is 70% virgin polymer, 15% additive chemical, and 15% wood powder. These boards are widely used in the construction sector for their high strength and durability. WPC boards are associated with many advantages.

 

1.Raw Material and Technology Introduction

Bamboo wood fiberboard is a new wall cladding material, mainly used for interior wall decoration.

It’s mainly composited with bamboo/wood powder, PVC, resin, etc.

Unlike traditional PVC board, the bamboo wood fiberboard has better tenacity, with good moistrueproof and bacterial resistance advantages.

Besides, the technology for surface film is also different.

Good qualified bamboo wood fiberboard use hot PUR adhesive with lamination technology, while traditional PVC board use cold adhesive, the film technology is transfer printing, which may smell and easy to peel off as time goes by.

 

2. Classification (Board Shape, Jointing Method, Color)

The bamboo wood fiberboard can be clarified based on basic board shape, jointing method, color, etc.

From board shape aspect, there are hollow board and solid board.

From jointing aspect, there are V-seam, flat-seam, seamless and no clicks.

From color aspect, there are yellowish, black, white, etc.

Different boards, the installation method is a little bit different.

Normally, the hollow board has tongue and groove, which is easy to join and fixed with clips.

The solid board without tongue and groove, normally combined with metal strip.

For hollow board, the standard widths are 300/400/600/800mm;

For solid board, the available width is 1220mm.

Both boards has different lengths, 2.4/2.6/2.8/3/3.2m are available. Other length can be customized also.

 

3.Hollow Board Introduction

Traditional bamboo wood fiberboard is hollow, there are different holes based on density.

We have A, B, C, D board, based on A board, there is another board, named double grooved board.

Board A & B, the thickness is 9mm; A board can do v-seam, flat-seam and no-seam;

B board can do v-seam.

Board C& D, the thickness is 8mm. C &D board can do smaller v-seam.

Normally, A board more popular in residential decoration, B,C,D board more popular for commercial decoration.

From appearance, they almost look the same. From price, A＞B ＞C ＞D. But very small difference. Normally you can select from the jointing methods you prefer.

Besides, the above 4 boards only suitable for PVC film.

While for double grooved board, it has PVC, light luxury cloth, silk and blendy film, etc.

This board, the density is higher than A,B,C,D board.

You can select based on your preference.

 

4.Introduction of the Coating Films for Vanjoin Bamboo Wood Fiberboard
